Big Brain...No Smarts

Very apt description of the human species. Throughout our entire existence, we have been trying endlessly and relentlessly to eradicate as many humans as we can. Our brains enable us to justify our killings. We've created words such as freedom, justice, manifest destiny, and so many more...as our justification for more killings. In reality, we kill for want of power...over every other living thing. Because we don't kill only humans, we will kill any life form if it will benefit us by providing us more power, more wealth, entertainment, status.

We do not, have not, will not learn from the past. We continue and will continue through our entire existence to make war, commit violence. What our brains enable us to do is to create more efficient weapons of death. We call this progress. Today, we can kill many many more people and animals with less effort much quicker and without being bloodied or even seeing the devastation we do. We will continue to create ever more efficient weapons of death to do our killings for us.

We even created religion to manipulate and control masses of people and to further justify our acts of violence and greed. Churches and religious leaders have become extremely wealthy and powerful on every continent and throughout human history. Millions and millions of people have died as a result of religious beliefs and they continue to die today. It will never end. It's one of the strongest justifications to declare war.

Throughout all of this progress, we continue to destroy our very world--we continue to destroy everything we need in order to survive. We profess love for our "children" but we have too many children too irresponsibly. We are literally screwing ourselves out of existence. At the very least, we are doing our damnedest to do that.

World leaders and scientists believe the solution to a hopelessly overcrowded world with rapidly diminishing resources and quality of life is to spread to other worlds. Yes, if we succeed, we WILL spread our disease of violence and greed as far as we can go.

Homo sapiens are the ultimate cancer of all living things. We are the cancer for which there is no cure.

Why not? Because we thrive on violence and we're learning to commit violence from a distance through weapons of death. We NEED war. Without war, how would countries and leaders become Great? How would they acquire unimaginable wealth and power...as countries and as individuals? Where would our heroes come from?

Civilizations of the past whom we consider "great" were the civilizations that murdered and plundered and garnered the greatest wealth the most. Becoming "civilized" enabled peoples and nations to spread their violence and greed throughout the world...to every continent and island they could find. We call this progress. We are proud of our collective history of violence.

We, as a species, do not want peace. We do not want everyone to be equal everywhere. Each of us, as nations and as individuals, have an innate desire to be better than the person next to us...even in our own families. We find reasons to be better: color, nations, religion, appearance. When we say we need to reach our full potential, what we're really saying is "we need to be better than anyone else in whatever it is we choose to do."

No one anywhere wants to be mediocre or peaceful. Where is the glory in that? Where are the rewards? How will we stand out in a crowd...especially as our world becomes ever more crowded with the likes of us?

All you need to do is look at our entertainmers and our civil and military leaders. Look at the reality shows filled with commonplace people willing to make asses of themselves for a few weeks of "fame" and proclaiming "I exist, I am here, I am not invisible, I'm important."

Humans DO NOT WANT PEACE. They like to talk about it, especially if it elevates them above everyone around them. But just really think about it. How bored would ALL of us be if everyone were equal, if we didn't always want to be better than everyone else in some area of our lives...if everyone had a safe place to live and enough food to eat. We'd find something, anything to make ourselves rise above everyone else. We want to compete for everything, we want to have more than the next person, we want to stand out from the crowd. We don't want to be lost in a crowd of happy, peaceful people who don't want anything from us. We would have no heroes, no idols, no one to envy, no reason to live.

Humans thrive on violence and greed. Greed drives our endeavors. Violence gives us a way to fulfill our desire for ever more of everything. We'll use religion and freedom to justify all of our actions. If necessary, we will also invent and create more reasons to justify the violence, destruction, and devastation we do to our species, our world. And if we find the way, we will spread our cancerous species as far out and away from Earth as we can go. If our species survive millions of years of existence, we will still be doing what we're doing today, what we've done throughout our existence. We will still continue to do our best to eradicate the human race and every other life forms who have the misfortune of crossing our path and making us aware of them.

Armageddon is not a place...or an event. Armageddon is us, homo sapiens, people of planet Earth.

We even created a god in our own image to justify so many of our own acts of violence. But that's fodder for another blog entry.

Are Our Children the Hope for Mankind's Future?

Many people believe so. Others are absolutely convinced. And then, there are those who believe as I do--our children could be our hope for the future of mankind...but NOT the way we're doing it.

The people in the first 2 groups also don't really believe mankind's future is at stake by our actions today. They blindly believe we can continue going on and doing as we've been doing...because Our Children will save mankind.

The third group believe we are exploding our population so much that we could very well be condemning our children to future extreme food shortages among many other things we'll be depriving them of. Things such as water, fuel, privacy, and...space.

There are many areas around the world that are presently experiencing hunger and drought and genocide. There are countries such as the USA who send food and medicines and in some cases, soldiers to help those countries in need. But, as food availability begin to get scarce, our aid to other countries will stop...to feed our own citizens. Then our own country will experience hunger and severe drought.

Simply put, people, there will be so many of us, there is just no way there will be enough food for everyone. There will be so many of us, we'll be living elbow to elbow everywhere. There will be so many of us, what resources we have now will quickly dwindle to nothing.

This is the future for our children.

The first and foremost action we must take is NOT to find alternative energy sources, it's NOT to grow more food, it's NOT to build more schools and hospitals.

THE FIRST AND FOREMOST ACTION WE MUST TAKE WITHOUT HESITATION IS TO SEVERELY CONTROL OUR WORLD POPULATION GROWTH. We MUST bring our population down to a manageable size, we MUST bring our population down to what our resources can provide for survival.

As our world becomes ever more crowded, crimes will increase exponentially. People will begin to hoard. People will begin to take from their neighbors. It will be an ugly world for our children and their children.

If you really think about it, you will see that every single problem we're experiencing today and will experience tomorrow even more severely...every problem stems from our ever burgeoning population.

You hear it everywhere every day. Not enough funds for more teachers, schools, law enforcement, hospitals, and everything else we need for a quality life. As our population continues to grow, we also need more roads, more housing, more water, more food, more prisons. As our population grows, we need ever more of Everything!

But we are not controlling our birth rate and we are not teaching our children to control their birth rate.

The Bottom Line: Unless we willingly begin to accept our own responsibility for increasing our world population, there will come a day when controlling the world's population growth will be mandatory. When that day arrives, it will be way too late to do much good. By that day, our world will have been ravaged for too long.

Climate change, shortages of all resources, and loss of privacy will be the direct result of the actions of each of us today. Our world will not be a beautiful world again until humans are long gone. It will take our beautiful world thousands of years to recover from our having existed. Thousands of years to erase all traces of mankind.

This is the legacy we are leaving to our future generations. They will be the ones to witness the end of mankind. Their last thoughts of us will not be nice or kind. Their very last thought will be, "Why?"

Are there Other Alien Worlds and Life?

Common Sense and Logic says YES, THERE IS!

Why do I believe this? Look around you. Nature is extremely redundant. Everything in nature is in countless multiples. In the skies, there are an infinite number of stars, galaxies, etc. On Earth, 7 billion people and increasing. Plants and animals, millions of species and many thousands and more within in each species. Even events of nature happen over and over and over again.

So, yes, I firmly and unequivocably believe there are billions and more worlds in the Universe that support life. I also believe, for the same reasons, that there are possibly millions of other universes.

As I said, Nature creates everything in countless multiples.

What is Life?

Life is existence. No more. No less.

Humans like to believe there is a purpose...a meaning to life. There isn't. All things--not just living beings both flora and fauna--Begin, Exist, then Stop Existing. This includes all inanimate objects as well...from the largest most powerful things such as galaxies and stars to the smallest most insignificant things such as a grain of sand or an ant.

It doesn't matter what you do while you exist. You, me, everyone we know, everything we see...we'll all be gone sooner or later and existence continues. It's neither good nor bad. It just is.

Whether or not you believe in a supreme being, a creator, it doesn't matter. What any one person or an entire species does is of no consequence to Existence. What we do affects only us and all the living things around us. Once we're gone, something else will replace us. It's neither good nor bad. It just is.

What we do today only affects our comfort and how long our existence as a species will be. Nothing we do can affect our inevitable non-existence. ALL things end. No matter how special we've convinced ourselves we are, we aren't special.

Life/Existence is extremely violent. As a species, humans apparently revere violence although we claim otherwise. We find reasons to have wars as nations, as individuals, as groups. Our heroes are those who kill the most people in war. On every level of existence, we as individuals seem to be constantly trying to prove we are better than the next person or other species sharing our planet.

What we say and what we do are so contradictory. We love violent sports. We encourage competition to find out who is better, stronger, smarter. Our entertainment is increasingly more violent. Most people aren't happy unless they can convince themselves that they're better in some way than everyone else they know.

Our race plans for and anticipates war. We've convinced ourselves that wars are necessary for us to survive. We take pride in decimating each other in war. We, throughout our entire history, have only made very minimal efforts in settling our differences with each other using intelligence rather than brawn. We don't like it when other people don't think as we do or don't look like us. We're all the same but we've convinced ourselves that our appearance and where we're born is what makes us better or more superior.

If all humans were deaf, dumb, and blind, we'd still find reasons to believe and prove to ourselves that we're better in some way than the person next to us. It's our nature. Everyone wants to believe he/she is special and better in some way than the person next to us. As a species, we have convinced ourselves that we're superior to all other life on our planet.

In our quest for comfort and entertainment and superiority, we are shortening our time in existence. How? We are destroying everything we need to survive as a species. We are destroying the environment we need in order to survive. The world will go on after us but it will need to heal itself after we're gone. We're creating a world we won't be able to live in. We'll blame each other for it.

Life has no purpose. It is merely existence. If we learn to care for our planet and all life on it, maybe we can extend our existence. But in the end, we will stop existing and the universe will feel no loss. Other life will exist and die. Worlds will exist and die. Galaxies will exist and die. But the universe will go on until one day, it too will cease to exist.

If humans disappear tomorrow, no one and no thing will feel its loss. Our present existence will be of no consequence to any future life. They will live out their own existence until they too one day cease to exist only to be replaced themselves.

To everyone who believes that our children are our future, what are you personally doing to ensure they DO have a future? I mean, other than saving to send them to college. What would be the point of that if the world they inherit is barely livable? What kind of future world are we creating today? Personally, I see an overly crowded world full of people who eat synthetic food, where there is no wildlife and no beautiful wilderness areas, where we may need to live in cities encapsulated in bubble domes in order to breathe. A world where humans will be 100% dependent on technology in order to survive. A world where privacy and solitude will be non-existent due to the explosive growth of our population.

Check out the world population clock to see how quickly our population is expanding. Our sheer numbers will overwhelm other lifeforms on our tiny planet. Humans are voracious in every way. No matter how much we consume, it's never enough. We always want more...of Everything. The only thing we severely lack is: Common Sense and the Desire to Use It.

The Clintons

I'm angry at the Clintons!

They're making such a big deal of their daughter's wedding. Half a million dollars for the rehearsal dinner? When most of the people who voted for him are having such a hard financial time and will for a long time? If the rehearsal dinner costs $500,000, how much do you think the wedding will cost?

And it's being paid with our tax money! Isn't it enough that we have to support the Clintons for the rest of their lives...in a manner befitting a millionaire? Do they have to rub our noses in it, too?

I suppose we probably deserve it. We elected a sex pervert and a liar to be our president...TWICE!

I know many people say that what happened is between him and his wife...that it's a personal matter. I say...if he does it in the Oval Office (which he did), it becomes a public matter. He showed grave disrespect for the presidency. If a man can lie and cheat on his wife, what makes anyone believe that he doesn't do it in the other areas of his life--including the political area? Isn't the relationship between man and wife the most important relationship in a person's life? And what makes anyone think that he isn't continuing to live that life while we continue to pay for it?

I'm so mad about it. And frustrated because I had no say in any of it. I didn't vote for the pervert either time. He was just a Kennedy-wanna-be. He believed that since Kennedy got away with being a whoremonger, he would, too. And he was right. He did get away with it. And he's still getting away with it. Why do we put up with that kind of behavior in our politicians? Especially our presidents? We don't just put up with it...we reward it!!!

WHY?
